Abstract:

I Museum is an app focusing on introducing global art museums and updating exhibition information. As a long-time user of iMuseum, I have found some problems which might have an​ impact on​​ the process of using, such as some repetitive functions on the same page or having some unnecessary functions which might make the app lack focus. Therefore, after interviewing some of my friends who have used this App before and putting a questionnaire online, I decided to redesign this App to make the App look more organized and make the use process easier for people who like to check art exhibitions’ information online.

I Museum 是一個專注於全球藝術展覽、博物館活動的生活類APP，讓你隨時了解身邊正在進行的最佳展覽，制定自己的觀展計劃，記錄分享你的觀展照片。作為iMuseum的長期用戶，我發現了一些可能會影響使用體驗感的問題，例如在同一個介面上存在一些重複的使用功能，或者軟體本身存在一些不必要的功能，這在使用上可能會使軟體缺乏焦點。因此，在採訪了一些曾經使用過這款App的朋友，並在網上做了問卷調查後，我決定重新設計這款App，讓它看起來更有條理，讓喜歡在網上查詢藝術展覽信息的人可以更加方便的將其使用。

Goal: Redesign an app that will be easy to use for users to check specific exhibitions, artist articles and museum activities.
Responsibilities: User research, User Flow, Wireframing, Prototyping.










User Testing

I conducted usability testing among potential users in the form of an unmoderated usability test to see if the new feature is usable and easy to understand compared to the original app. My main goal was to see if users can navigate through the app on their own and whether they think the current APP page design looks organized and concise and is easier to use.

100% of users who tested the prototype completed the task, indicating that it is easy to use.

98% of users expressed that they would use the “Ordering tickets” feature if it were on the IMuseum app, which they thought is much more convenient and saves time than going to different art museum websites to buy tickets.

I was happy to hear feedback from users that having a feature like this would be handy and convenient!
