Abstract:

“如果攝像機具有反抗性，它首先就是反抗遺忘” —— 婁燁

Fragments is an extension of Mementos, a work aimed at exploring the sounds of our childhood memories and transforming them into a nostalgic experience of abstract visual representation. By combining recordings of familiar childhood sounds with abstract visual forms, I hope to evoke the emotions and memories associated with these auditory cues.

Sound is a powerful force that can trigger memories and stir emotions. Each visual representation corresponds to a specific moment from our past. This project is not only a creative exploration of sound and visual art but also a journey through time, allowing us to rediscover the essence of our childhood.

《碎片》是《紀念品》的延伸作品，旨在探索回憶我們童年的聲音並將其轉化為抽象視覺表現的懷舊體驗。透過將兒時熟悉的聲音錄音與抽象的視覺形式結合，我希望喚起與這些聽覺線索相關的情緒和記憶。

聲音是一種可以觸發記憶和喚起情感強而有力的力量。每一個視覺表現都是關於我們過去的特定時刻。這個計畫不僅是對聲音和視覺藝術的創意探索，也是我們重新探索童年的時光旅程。

We created a total of seven audiovisual fragments, some derived from footage captured in the present and others from our childhood video recordings. By combining images and sounds from both the present and the past, our goal is to evoke a sense of transcending time and space, as if engaging in a dialogue with our former selves.

我們一共創作了七個視頻聲音可視化片段，其中一些來自當下所拍攝的鏡頭，另一些則來自我們童年的影像記錄。通過將現在和過去的影像和聲音結合在一起，我們的目標是喚起一種超越時空的感覺，彷彿在與過去的自己對話。

Memories are fragmented; we don’t deliberately recall specific moments from the past. Instead, a word, a sound, or a familiar object often triggers recollections. For us today, memories emerge suddenly, without warning. Therefore, we aim to distill and utilize lifelike conversations with familiar people as a guide, attempting to transport everyone into the world of our childhood.

記憶是碎片化的，我們不會刻意回憶過去的某一個時刻。相反，我們通常會因為聽到一個詞，一種聲音，或一件熟悉的事物從而觸發對於過去的回憶。對於今天的我們來說，記憶是突然的，沒有任何徵兆的。因此，我們考慮提煉和利用與熟悉之人之間充滿生活感的對話作為引導，試圖將每一個人帶入我們童年的世界。
